  •     PREVENTATIVE CARE  -  At Maple River Veterinary Clinic our philosophy is centered on the fact that preventative care designed to meet your pet’s specific lifestyle is the best investment you can make in keeping your pet in the best of health for years to come. Preventative care consists of vaccinations, heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, intestinal parasite control, dental care, and blood work to detect subclinical disease.

  •     BEHAVIOR CONSULTS -  One of the main reasons for relinquishment or euthanasia of a beloved pet is behavior problems. At Maple River Veterinary Clinic we believe that education is key to raising well behaved pets that are comfortable in a variety of settings. We begin each puppy and kitten visit with advice to get your pet off on the right paw and are always happy to help with any issues that may arise. We are also happy to help with behavior issues that begin in older animals including inappropriate litter box use in felines, storm phobias, and separation anxiety in canines.

  •     SOFT TISSUE SURGERY -  We offer most soft tissue surgeries including ovariohysterectomy (spay), neuter, mass removal, cystotomy, and laceration repair. We utilize state of the art monitoring equipment during surgical procedures for the maximum safety of your pet. We do not currently offer orthopedic surgery but will be happy to refer these cases to a board-certified surgeon.

Testimonials

"I  have known Dr. Henderson for about 10 years now. During this time she  has become the person I trust most regarding the care of my treasured  pets. I actually moved to Wayne County 4 years ago and quickly learned  that it was better to drive 90 minutes back to Corunna to see Dr.  Henderson than to take them to the Vets here in the city. She has always  given me honest and trust-worthy advice, and care at a reasonable  price. She is the most compassionate veterinarian I have ever known,  both towards her patients and their humans. Her staff is also very kind  and caring. I have always been able to get an appointment when needed  despite my distance and crazy work schedule. I highly recommend Dr.  Henderson to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and caring vet for their  pets. She is definitely worth the drive."  Helen

"Dr. Henderson has been the vet for our cats and dogs for over 8 years. Her expertise, caring attitude and compassion are second to none. All the staff at Maple River provide a level of service that would be hard to find elsewhere". Paul
